Project objective
In a world full of streaming platforms, normal television is increasingly fading into the background.
To counteract this and give the older generation the opportunity to be entertained, we decided to for a Redesign of the ARD-Mediathek. We saw potential not only to address different user groups, but also resurrect the “normal” television in the form of a media library.

BENCHMARKING
Benchmarking was the tool for us to see, where we can place the ARD-Mediathek between the “big” streaming platform like Netflix or amazon prime. In the following steps we could figure out points which we have to improve to move in their direction.
DESIGN FILTERS
The design filters helped us to define our principles of how we want to affect on the user.

DELIGHT FEATURE
From our variants from the workshop and discussions about them, we were finally able to define a Delight feature, in our case the search function. This allowed us to focus on it throughout the rest of the process.
